For Cold Warriors, I Was a Communist for the F.B.I. might be entertaining. With Communist China and the Soviet Union expanding at the cost of freedom, Hollywood introduced the nation to Matt Cvetic. Many of the stories were taken from actual accounts of Matt Cvetic, who worked for the F.B.I. as an undercover operative for the Communist Party of the United States. The part was played by Dana Andrews for its entire run from 1952 to 1954. Mr. Cvetic was shunned by his family (although his mother still loved him) and he had to walk alone.
